My Cool Campervan

Building on the 2010 success of My Cool Caravan, this follow-up title celebrates the new wave of interest in campervans/ motorhomes and the diverse ways that owners are styling them. VW Campervans have always had a certain appeal to those who buy into the notion of the ‘open road’ but the current interest in all things retro has led to a new generation exploring the freedoms which they offer. Their popularity with the ‘Jamie Oliver’ generation has long been established but there is a newly emerging and as yet untapped trend to look beyond the VW to campers from other eras and manufacturers. Current campervan books on the market focus on the VW to the exclusion of the other brands and by opting to include these retro motorhomes, My Cool Campervan will steal a march on the competition and aims to make the book as inclusive as possible, thus engaging both die-hard campervanners and recent converts. By using both text and well styled photography My Cool Campervan aims to inspire a new generation of campervan owners and also to provide an idiosyncratic source book for the design conscious. Its appeal will stretch well beyond the retro male car enthusiast market. The book inspires through a well researched and sourced selection of 34 otherwise ‘never before seen’ campervans, beautifully photographed and styled along with the owners’ stories and love affairs with their motors and style notes for each van.
